The Whidbey Homeless Coalition aims to address homelessness on Whidbey Island by offering immediate shelter and longer-term housing solutions. Through community partnerships and advocacy, the coalition works to ensure that everyone has a safe place to call home.
The Haven
The Haven, operated by the Whidbey Homeless Coalition, is a 'pop-up' night-to-night shelter that rotates between local churches and serves up to 30 individuals daily, 365 days a year. Offering more than just a place to sleep, The Haven provides registration and transportation services from a central Oak Harbor location to the current church hosting the shelter.

Ryan's House For Youth offers essential support services for both parents and teenagers. For parents facing challenges with their teenagers, the organization provides mediation services and emotional support to help families stay together. For youth, Ryan's House offers a range of services including mediation with parents, tutoring, mentorship, transportation for medical appointments, a Drop-In Center, and help with essential resources like IDs and employment. They also offer housing alternatives for youths in need. The aim is to provide a comprehensive support system for families and young people, emphasizing that help is available.
THINC Whidbey
Tiny Houses in the Name of Christ (THINC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization initiated by local congregations with the aim of creating affordable and sustainable rental housing. Leveraging the Tiny Home model, THINC focuses on providing a cost-effective and environmentally friendly housing solution tailored to the needs of Langley’s workforce and those in search of affordable living options. THINC's housing initiative is compliant with Langley's existing Cottage Code and seeks to enhance community living by utilizing smaller spaces with reduced carbon footprints.
